Yes, projects that upgrade to WELL v2 will follow the fee structure for WELL v2 for all future milestones. Previously paid invoices cannot be refunded or credited.

No, fees for onsite performance testing are separate and not included in the WELL Certification fees for WELL v2 projects. Project teams can elect to have a WELL Performance Testing Organization complete onsite performance testing or select their own WELL Performance Testing Agent and contract with them separately. As the market engages in onsite performance testing, the industry will find efficiencies in the process towards increased scalability, thereby making WELL Certification more accessible and affordable to projects globally.

Enrollment fees are paid when a project formally enrolls in the program. Program fees can be paid annually as part of an annual payment plan or are paid in full when the project submits for documentation review. On-site testing fees are paid directly to an approved WELL Performance Testing Organization, often due when the services are conducted.

Yes, IWBI members receive up to 7.5% off all WELL enrollment, precertification, documentation review and recertification fees. Membership discounts can be applied on top of all other discounts and pricing reductions.

Projects that lease in a WELL Core building can receive a 20% discount on all WELL Certification-related fees.

IWBI also reduces fees by 35% in an effort to try to make WELL more accessible to emerging markets, special sectors and small businesses. The following facility types qualify as special sectors: Education, healthcare, senior and assisted living, government, nonprofit and low-income/affordable housing. Market, sector, and small business reductions cannot be combined (i.e. a building that is classified as both a government and education space would receive a 35% discount, not 70%).
